The theme of our Fall Sharathon, He Made A Change, is what the ministry of Mountain Gospel Radio is all about. Every week, we reach thousands of people in a number of ways: sharing the Gospel message with the lost, challenging believers to heart holiness, and strengthening and encouraging Christ’s followers in their daily walk.
Just last week, an individual called the station weeping. They were going through a difficult time in their life and a song chosen by one of our hosts was just what they needed in that moment. These are just a couple examples of the many testimonies we hear from listeners, and the many more lives impacted in which only eternity will tell their story.
Now, God has opened an exciting new door for expanded growth and ministry. We have acquired a radio station in Stanton, KY, about forty-five minutes from our current location. It will carry a similar broadcast with our Mountain Gospel format, and the addition of local content and programs. We are working hard toward launching the new programming in mid-October. This new station will double our current coverage area and triple the number of people we can reach through radio with the message of full salvation. The new station will be located at 1470 AM and cover the areas around Stanton, Clay City, Winchester, Mount Sterling, and Irvine. It’s a big change for us, and we’re excited about the changes that God will make in many more lives as we follow Him in this new endeavor.
As a listener supported ministry, we rely on on your prayers and financial support, and Sharathon is the time of year we reach out to you for your help. Fall Sharathon is Tuesday, September 29 through Friday, October 2. The week will be filled with special guests sharing on the air throughout the day, and live singing every evening from 7-9pm. Our Fall Cookout is happening Friday, October 2nd starting at 5pm with singing on the grounds from 4-8pm. We’ll be serving up chili, chicken, hotdogs, potato salad, and more! We’re looking forward to a great evening of food, fellowship, and uplifting music. Please join us here at the studio and bring a friend. If you can’t come in person, make sure to catch the event broadcast live on 99.9 FM and online at mountaingospel.org. We need to raise $16,000 to meet our current operational needs and to help get the new broadcast up and running.
What is God asking of you to help bring His Change to many more souls through the ministry of Mountain Gospel? As a listener supported radio station, it is your financial support that keeps the Message ringing forth over the hills and through the hollers of Eastern Kentucky.
