Basics of Life Fall Sharathon

PosterBasicsOfLifeWhen we think about the basics of life, we usually start with the physical aspects: food, health, finances. Without question, those are important parts of life. I’m so grateful that we have Christ’s own promise that He will take care of our physical basics. In Matthew, 6:25-34, He reminds us that God clothes the flowers and feeds the birds. He knows our needs and will take care of them. But as believers, we understand that the real Basics of Life are not physical, but spiritual. In the passage referenced, that was the point Jesus was making. As we continue with verse 33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Yes, we need the physical basics, but it’s the spiritual that is the real Basics of Life.

“No One Else” Spring Sharathon!

We live where diversity and tolerance are the supreme ethic. People say there are many gods, or if there is only one God, there are many ways to Him; but in the midst of all of this, you have Jesus, who clearly states, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). He leaves no questions, no options, no second opinions. He is the only way. There is No One Else.PosterNoOneElse_smaller

Sharathon – He Made a Change!

Praise the Lord! He is faithful and worthy to be praised. The first part of October was our Annual Fall Sharathon. Our theme this year was “He Made a Change”. We were able to reach our goal of $16,000. However, we could not have reached this goal without the help of many people. We would like to thank all of those who were a part of this. Thank you to all of our sponsors, special guests, special music, guest MCs, and volunteers. As well as a huge thanks to our donors. Every pledge counts. Your pledges help Mountain Gospel continue to provide you with the best in Southern Gospel and Christian programming. All week we were blessed to hear continuous stories of how Mountain Gospel Radio has impacted lives and how God has used this ministry to reach down and lift people out of darkness. And we say “Halleluiah!”

“He Made a Change” Fall Sharathon!

HeMadeAChange_squarescaledThe theme of our Fall Sharathon, He Made A Change, is what the ministry of Mountain Gospel Radio is all about. Every week, we reach thousands of people in a number of ways: sharing the Gospel message with the lost, challenging believers to heart holiness, and strengthening and encouraging Christ’s followers in their daily walk.

Just last week, an individual called the station weeping. They were going through a difficult time in their life and a song chosen by one of our hosts was just what they needed in that moment. These are just a couple examples of the many testimonies we hear from listeners, and the many more lives impacted in which only eternity will tell their story.
